Traders Information

Catering Pitches

There are a limited number of catering pitches available and applications will be considered on the basis of pitch size, standard size is 6 meter long by 3 meter wide at a cost of £500 plus electricity, and type of food for sale. We are limited by space and we cannot guarantee that every application received will be offered a pitch. You can apply for a pitch (here) and contact us (here) should you have any queries. Pitch locations are not guaranteed and are subject to change.

Charity Pitches

Charity pitches start from £75 for 3 x 3m pitch for the two days. You can apply for charity pitches (here) where larger pitch sizes and prices are also available. Pitch locations are not guaranteed and are subject to change.

Traders Pitches

Traders pitches start from £120 irrespective of whether you are a registered company or market trader. You can apply for a traders pitch (here) where larger pitch sizes and prices are also available. Pitch locations are not guaranteed and are subject to change.

Entry Passes

You will receive a set number of passes depending on your pitch size, please see the relevant form.

Additional wristbands can be purchased at a cost of £6.00 each, for every 2 wristbands you will receive 1 car park pass for traders parking. If you require additional car park passes they are charged at £2.00.

Terms & Conditions

To attend the North Show we must have a fully completed application form which can be completed online.

We will confirm receipt of your application once the form has been submitted online (this will not be confirmation that your application has been accepted)

Applications will be considered on an individual basis in the order they are received and approved on the basis of pitch size and products on offer, we are limited by space so we can not guarantee all applications will be accepted. We suggest you apply early to avoid disappointment.

Applications will NOT be accepted within 4 weeks of the show date except in exceptional circumstances.

The North Show committee reserves the right to refuse applications with no further explanation given.

By applying to the show you agree to provide in date Public Liability Insurance, Risk Assessments and Proof of Environmental Health Rating (where you are making or selling food), plus in date Gas Testing Certification (where applicable). Failure to provide these prior to the show may result in you being denied entry to the show ground with no refund of your pitch fee. 

In addition to this, you also agree to comply with all relevant Guernsey Health & Safety, Environmental health, Fire regulations & North Show Show Ground rules (see following page).

You must also ensure that all portable electronic devices have been PAT tested within the last 12 months. Portable and handheld equipment used in industrial settings, including in commercial kitchens, should be tested every 6 months, while stationary, IT, and moveable equipment should be tested every 12 months. 


An inspection of your pitch will be carried out by a committee member before opening to the public, failure to abide by the above or without having hand washing facilities, Fire extinguishers etc you will be refused to open until this has been rectified (where applicable, all catering stalls will be subject to these checks).


Your pitch will only be confirmed once full payment has been received along with relevant documentation after we have accepted your application and offered you a pitch. If payment is not received by the date stated on the invoice the committee will reallocate your pitch.

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your pitch you are required to give a minimum of 4 week’s notice prior to the show. Failure to do so will result in your pitch fee being retained by the Society. If your pitch is re-allocated or reduced in size you may be entitled to a refund at the discretion of the committee.

Electricity usage

Electricity is not readily available on site and needs to be installed to specific sites. A charge of £90.00 is payable in addition to the normal pitch fee and this requirement must be noted on your application. Any late requests for power will be provided on a best endeavors basis and are not guaranteed, additional charges may also apply.  You must provide a detailed list of equipment with your application, anything you arrive with on the day and not listed on the application will not be able to be plugged in.

Show Ground Rules

Site Access

Access to the park is solely through Le Pouquelah entrance (by the museum). Please use hazard lights for all movement on the park at all times and note that no traffic is permitted in the park during show times. PLease always drive at WALKING PACE.

Setting Up

All stalls must be set up by 9.45am on Wednesday with all vehicles in the dedicated traders parking section in the allocated stall holder’s car park by 9:45am on both days. Please ensure you have adequate stock on your stand as vehicle movement will not be permitted for re-stocking.

You are not permitted to use more area than you have applied for.  Please ensure you stay within your designated area.  If you encroach onto another stall’s area, you will be asked to reduce your stall or pay additional fees.


Only essential vehicles are allowed to remain on site and this must be approved by a committee member prior to arrival on Wednesday. Vehicle movement is NOT permitted prior to 10pm except for exceptional circumstances and no movement shall occur without approval of the committee. If you have approval to remain on site you must park in the area advised by the committee.

During The Show

We are required to abide by a public event license, in order for us to do this, you agree to be in a position to close your stall no later than 11pm on both nights of the show.  Failure to do this will result in the committee asking any queueing customers to leave the stall.

You must keep your stall tidy and free from rubbish at all times.

Vehicles will not be permitted on the park during the show, all deliveries must be made, and complete, before 09:45am on each show day.  The only access gate to the park is locked and will only be opened in case of emergency.

Clearing Up

You are required to vacate the park no later than 12pm on the day after the show, please remember this is a public area after we have left and the committee will not be held responsible for any damage caused to stands or products left on site after the park is reopened to the public.

You will have vehicle access from 10pm on the Thursday evening, this is due to the large number of people in the main show area and an unacceptable risk to the public. 

If you wish to close your stall early you may do so but will need to arrange transport of your goods to your vehicle. Hazard lights must be used at all times when in the park.

Please ensure you clear up all rubbish before you leave and during your time at the park, there are a large number of bins for small rubbish, we ask that you take any large items with you (this includes all catering products such as cooking oil)

Any abusive or threatening behavior toward any committee member, fellow stall holder or member of the public will result in you being asked to leave the site. The same applies for failing to adhere to the Terms and Conditions of entry or guidance given by the committee or other authority on site. If you are asked to leave the site no refund will be offered although you can appeal the decision by email to the committee president who will return to you with a decision after the show is closed.
